This location can easily be missed when driving along the East Coast of Iceland, but it is a must-stop! Have a break here and go down to the beach (a bit of easy climbing involved) but stay away from the shore since the waves can be dangerous.

Photography Tips

I used the rocks of the view point to frame the sea stack you can see at the beach for an excellent composition. You will need a wide-angle lens to do that. But a zoom lens could also be handy since many birds fly around the rock, and you can get some cool pictures of them as well.

Travel Information

You can park your car at the marked parking lot. The road is in excellent condition and driveable for any vehicle. The entire drive along the East Coast is very scenic, and you can stop every few minutes to take photos.
