Iceland Aldeyarfoss
This waterfall is mighty but less known than other falls in the North of Iceland. If you visit Godafoss, you should also come here since the detour isn't long, and you will not see many other tourists visiting this spot. You can follow a small trail to get closer to the waterfall, which you can technically see from the parking lot without hiking.
Photography Tips
I used my Mavic 3 pro and its 77mm lens to get this epic selfie standing at the viewpoint close to the waterfall. This way, you can add some sense of scale to the scenery since the waterfall itself is large and powerful.
Travel Information
You have to follow the F26 for quite a few kilometers. There is no river crossing but some larger rocks at the end of the road before reaching the parking lot. Consider renting a 4x4 car to get to this location. Park your car at the marked parking lot with restrooms, and hike down to the waterfall (takes 5 minutes). When traveling in Iceland, it is always nice to check www.safetravel.is for travel information and weather updates.
