This view of the Fjallsárlón glacier lagoon and the surrounding mountains is probably one of my favorite ones in the South of Iceland. Especially on a summer morning the colors and quietness here are amazing.

Photography Tips

I used my drone to capture the entire scenery: glacier, river, mountain, and lagoon. I came here for sunrise to get this beautiful glow on the hills. It can be pretty windy up here. Be careful when flying your drone.

Travel Information

You can park in the designated Fjallsárlón parking area for free and start your drone somewhere where you don't interrupt other people. When traveling in Iceland, it is always nice to check www.safetravel.is for travel information.
