Iceland Scenic curvy road, Thingvellir National Park
Not far from Reykjavik, just a few kilometres away from the Thingvellir National Park, you can find this unknown gem. It is a small set of mountains that you typically don't pass during a 'golden circle' tour because there are faster routes. However, it's worth a visit due to the curvy roads, the rough mountain scape, and the colours of the vegetation. It feels very remote.
Photography Tips
Endless possibilities. Try to include the road as well as the small canyon. At the horizon, a geothermal area begins, with several pipes and buildings. Try to exclude them or remove them afterwards.
Cars are rare here, so if you want some long-exposure light tracks, you have to do them yourselves.
