Iceland Hnausapollur, Icelandic Highlands
Hnausapollur is one of the amazing old flooded volcano craters close to the road to the camping of Landmannalaugar. If you walk off the crowded places, you will find these places mostly alone for yourself, especially when going early for sunrise or late for sunset.
Photography Tips
Go early or late since during the day there might be scenic touristic flights with helicopters or smaller airplanes. You need to use your drone to get those photos.
Travel Information
Park your car the the Hnausapollur View Point. From there, its quiet a strenuous hike up since you only walk on old volcanic ash which feels like walking on a massive sand dune. To reach the parking, a 4x4 car is required.
