Iceland Dryhólaey Lighthouse View from distance
The Dyrhólaey Lighthouse, or Dyrhólaeyjarviti in Icelandic, is an easy drive south on the main highway - Ring Road 1, from Iceland's capital city of Reykjavík. During your visit, take some time to hike around. To the east, take in the views of the arch, for which the area is named, and beyond that, the Reynisdrangar Needles - a grouping of large basalt sea stacks rising ominously out of the surf.
Photography Tips
I used the Mavic 3 Pro 70 mm lens to get this shot's compression and stay away from the lighthouse itself. Especially in summer, there is no way to fly a drone since this is a bird-nesting area.
Travel Information
I parked my car at the Dryhólaey View Parking Lot. Due to the increased number of visitors in Iceland, they might start charging fees for parking. The lot also has a Restroom (not free of charge).
