Iceland Studlagil Canyon

The fascination of this canyon lies in the contrast between the spectacular basalt columns and the turquoise blue water.
There are a few rock formations in the riverbed that are quite easy to climb up.
Unfortunately, this place is now also very well known, so it is better to avoid it at off-peak times.

Photography Tips

Don’t drive to the main access. There is only a platform and it‘s not possible to climb down to the river.
Turn left to the east side parking. You need about half an hour by foot to the canyon.
