The lake next to the ocean is a nice spot to photograph birds or - as in my case - the northern lights. The mountains across the sound are a nice backdrop for the picture.

Take your time to walk around the lake. There are a lot of nice foto opportunities.

The picture of the northern lights was taken mid-August at around 1am.

Travel Information

The lake is publicly accessible and you can walk around it. The pier, however, belongs to the cottages next to the lake. If you are not staying in the cottages, you may ask at the reception (during day time) if it is ok for you to use the pier.
