If you want to visit a really creepy abandoned place on Iceland, you should go to the former US hospital here. Especially at night, when there is a chance of seeing the Northern Lights, a cold shiver runs down your spine when the wind suddenly blows through the open window gaps and you suddenly turn around.

Photography Tips

Wide angle, most open aperture that is possible, tripod and lots of batteries! Make sure your settings are set to manual focus and look for the right sharpness. The image stabilization on the lens should also be switched off.

Travel Information

With a 4x4 car you can easily reach the hospital via the gravel road. It is only a few hundred meters from the main road.
