Iceland Kaldadalsvegur, Langjökull

The area around Langjökull glacier deep the icy highlands of the western regions of Iceland is a really cold but impressive place. Walking on the ice at sub-zero temperatures and along the large snow-covered glaciers is something special.

Use the panorama mode for a wide landscape picture. Have a valid flying license with you and pay particular attention to the winds and the cold, as you run the risk of the rotors catching or a quick empty battery.

Never travel alone! Please be advised to only enter this region with a tour or with one of the bigger 4x4 trucks (in winter / spring) and a 4x4 in summer. These highland roads are no joke and many people get stuck, especially in winter. If you have the right gear / car, this region is easy to drive in since the F-Roads are in a fair conditions.
