India Fatehpur Sikri
The city was founded in 1569 by the Emperor, Akbar, and served as the capital of the Mughal Empire from 1571 to 1585. High over the city is the mosque and palace.

Travel Information
Fatehpur Sikri is about 30-40 minutes from Agra so an easy day trip. The Mosque is very large and while you need to take off your shoes they will allow you to purchase bedroom slippers to walk around.
