India Ranthambore National Park
One of the larger parks in northern India it is known for its tiger population. Besides the tigers there are many different animals and birds in the park. Only accessible on an official safari.
Photography Tips
A long lens is needed - 400mm. You will be in an open vehicle with others (private safari is expensive) so be prepared to get a good seat near the outside.
Travel Information
The park is near the train from Delhi so only a short taxi to hotels. You have to be on a safari to enter so check ahead to coordinate entrance - most hotels will be able to arrange. The tigers are bashful so you may need more than one outing to spot one - morning and an afternoon safari will fill the day.
