One of the best spots to photograph the Taj Mahal is from the Yamuna River. It has not been photographed as much as from inside, is cheap (you only pay for the boat driver), and offers stunning views at sunset.

Update: taking photos at this spot no longer seems to be possible/allowed. Please inform yourself in advance if this regulation has changed.

Travel Information

Go around the Taj Mahal on the right-hand side until you see the riverbank. Usually, you can find some fishermen here who you pay for a short boat ride on the river.
