The Spiti Valley is a cold desert mountain valley located in the high Himalaya. The name "Spiti" means "The Middle Land", i.e. the land between Tibet and India. Stunning moonscape with huge temperature range.

Photography Tips

A good robust light travel camera plus a spare, lots of cards. A sturdy tripod is also very handy for what is in essence a mountainous region perfect for landscapes, as well as a polarising filter. Sense of humour and very warm clothing. O yes something to keep the cameras warm. Hi UV up here.
