Indonesia Tanjung Mareha

Important Information: Unfortunately, the rock collapsed. The stone gate does not exist there.

Cape Mareha is situated in between and overlooks 2 popular spots in Sumba: Watu Malandong on the left and Bwana Beach on the right.

Sumba feels like an untouched undiscovered paradise. One of these places is Bawana Beach, which is located in the Kodi area, Sumba Barat Daya. The beaches are "rediscovered", which have extraordinary beauty. The up to about 5 meters high cliffs with a big hole in the middle as well as the so-called coral holes that protrude to the side so that it looks like a gate on the beach. The white sand and the clear blue water, as well as the waves, complete the paradise.

Travel Information

To access this beach, you will have to go with the locals and climb down some very steep stairs along the cliff (Semi Dangerous). Once you are down there, the view is just amazing. This beach will be fully submerged during high tide, so be aware of the tide coming in.
