Iran Amir Chakhmaq Complex
Dating back to the 15th century, the Amir Chakhmaq Complex is the center of Yazd's historic old town. The main building looks like a mosque but isn't. it's more just a facade and has only one meaning for Shiite rites.
Photography Tips
Be there after sunset but be aware that the square is a popular meeting place for the residents. It is full of people and makes it difficult to take pictures of the main building without people in front of it. Here only an ultra long exposure helps.
Travel Information
There is a busy road leading past the square, parking is impossible.
