Ireland Glenbarrow
Beautiful mountain/forest steam and falls. The short walk (1km) is nice in the spring and summer and is not too difficult.
Photography Tips
The trick here is to get the water flow just right. If the weather has been very wet, the falls become a raging torrent and are (a) not very photogenic, and (b) you cannot go down to the river. Also, be aware, that the rocks down at the river can be extremely slippery. Please be careful! I have first-hand knowledge of this!
Travel Information
The trailhead is Glenbarrow carpark, (see map). Follow the Orange arrows onto a downhill track. Enter Glenbarrow Woods via wooden railings.
Continue along this path upriver for about 800m. Here by the river, the stone floor of the valley is exposed.
