Ireland Near The Glenaloe Footbridge on The Spinc Hill Walk

A nice view down Glendalough, with the Upper Lake prominent. Location about 400metres from the Glenaloe Footbridge.

Not much foreground interest from the ridge walk until you get close to the Footbridge when some ruins and lots of boulders become visible.

This is a moderately demanding hike passing through open exposed countryside with no facilities. Be prepared. There is a boardwalk available to take you over the worst of the bog, but this can be slippy when wet. Take care. Allow 3-4 hours for this loop hike. Parking available at Glendalough Upper Lake car park (€4 all day), but it fills up fast on a weekend/holiday so get here early!
