Ireland Coolalingo Waterfall
Inspired by Robert Foy's image of this waterfall. At the moment the area along the river is blooming with autumnal colours but finding a safe spot where the elements are good was tricky. Robert did mention wellies, I forgot mine, my mistake. I'll have to go back and shoot it again :)
Photography Tips
Apart from the usual stuff, filters and polariser and of course a tripod, bring those wellies or waders and get into the river for a good head on shot. I'm going to go back at the weekend to reshoot this from the river.
Travel Information
Use the Glenmalure lodge as a reference point. Take a right and up the Wicklow Way road. When you reach Coolalingo bridge, there's a little car park there. Park up, cross the bridge and look for a way down to the RHS of the river, do not go down the LHS. The ground is tricky but manageable all the way up to the waterfall, about 10/15mins from the CP.
