Carrick Kildavnet is the smallest of Grace O'Malley's three castles. Grace was tribal chieftain and Pirate in the mid 1500s based in Clew Bay and County Mayo. (A genealogist cousin tells me that we are descendants!) At the very least it is a great pub story.

Photography Tips

This is roadside with easy access. A tripod is always a great idea.
