Israel Dead Sea Evaporation Ponds

The Dead Sea is a salt lake that is about 10 times as salty as the ocean making it one of the world's saltiest bodies of water and also the lowest place on earth
The are some locations in the lake. One of them are the evaporation ponds where they evaporate the water to extract the minerals to the industry.
These unique spikes are a result of evaporation of the water and formation of salt crystals.

Mostly recommended to shoot in a cloudy day.
Sunrise is the best time to shoot

There is a parking in the Gas station and then walk towards the water.
There are rapid changes there so the texture can change.

Just to clarify more: photo has to be takebln during summer months. In winter, all salt stones covered by water.

Salt is covered not due to season, only due to flooding of minerals mining activity of nearby plants. Winter gets nicer sunrises with clouds in the sky. In the summer much less clouds in the area.
