Italy Isola San Giulio

The Isola di San Giulio is the only island in the Lago d'Orta and is located about 400 meters off the shore of Orta. It is connected to the mainland by a ferry connection with Orta San Giulio in summer. The island is 275 metres long and 140 metres wide and stretches from north to south, where the tip of the island is dominated by the Basilica di san Giulio and the adjacent Episcopal Palace.
