That artificial lake very near to the mediterranean coast is full of sharp contrasts and shining colours. If the view is very good, you can even see the Albanian Alps in the back.

In the afternoon the view is best.

Travel Information

Otranto can be easily reached by train and car. The lake situates outside the town, a nice footpath leeds from the harbour via Torre del Serpe to that attraction (app. 45 min.). It's although possible to drive by car south towards Porto Badisco (SP 87).
