This site has a history dating back to the 4th Century AD when a Christian temple was built. The current building was constructed in the early 14th Century but the bell tower pre-dates it.

Photography Tips

Photographing these two structures requires a very wide angle lens or a number of images stitched together. The light is best in the morning (not around mid-day when this was taken) and a morning golden hour shot would possibly be best if you are able to lan it that way.

It can get very busy with tourists in the middle part of the day so again, early morning would be advantageous.

Travel Information

You can drive from Trapani but parking spots are limited. It is better to take the cable car which will provide you with spectacular views and be less stressful then looking for a car park.
