Italy Fog clearing up from Val D'Orcia (Bel Vedere)
It is not common to have fog in the month of June and just when you pray for it, you happen to be on your way to a different spot trying to capture the Cappella della Madonna at sunrise while the sun is still below the horizon. Time is of essence. On one hand, light was changing at a rapid pace and before you know, sun could be right in your face well above the Cappella so there was no time to spill. On the other hand, this could have been the one and only foggy occasion to capture. In hindsight you always have the perfect answers. I dropped by bags took the camera out and shot this one. Anyway, tried to make something out of it in the hope to return one day for more mystical foggy shots. Photo was taken from the road leading to the Vitaleta hill overlooking from left at Belvedere and San Quirico D'Orcia town.
Photography Tips
This may not be the best spot for the fog but it gives you an idea that foggy and mystical scenes can happen in April or May. The colors are also different in June, the green grass giving way to stretches of golden hay. Each season has its beauty.
