When I reached Passo falzarego I drove 1 kilometers further. Pass the fortress and stop at parking place at the restaurant, look back to the South, where the lake is placed.

The picture is taken from the restaurant parking place towards northern mountains. If you want to take picture of the lake, go to opossite side of the building and look to the South. It is possible that you meet also a fox, who eats remaining food from the restaurant at least in the evenings :)

Hi Jan it was last year when I took this photo and I have checked the GPS form the camera and lightroom. This puts the location about 1 klm down on the SP24 del Passo Valparola from the Passo Falzarego . I pulled off to the side of the road and climbed an embankment. It was just below Rifugio Passo Valparola and just before the road started to move down the valley.
