As we caught the train from Sicily to the Italian mainland we caught the train and instead of dropping you off at the port on the Sicily side you catching a ferry and picking up the train on the other side of the straits of Messina they bring you and the carriages on the ship. Amazing! This shot is at Villa San Giovanni where the locomotive backs onto the ship hooks up you and your carriages and you are off on your way

Travel Information

We traveled from Milazzo to Naples by train. I recommend to do it during the day as you will miss this if you take the night train. The cost was 50 euros each.
