Mount Nuvolau (2,575 m.), located between the Falzarego Pass and the Giau Pass, is a small but daring rock complex, rich in towers and peaks. In the upper part of Nuvolau, near the shelter of the same name, there is a bronze sculpture in memory of the 800th ascent to the Nuvolau refuge of Riccardo Dalla Favera.
The sculpture has a plaque with the inscription: "Work of the sculptor N. Sammartin - for the 800th ascent to Nuvolau. It does not fatigue but joy. 1975 ".
Mount Averau (2,649 m) is visible in the background.
