Italy Liberty Bridge
There are lots of these unkempt fishing nets around Venice, but most of them are too far from the shore to photograph. This one is unique, because it can be shot from a high vantage point atop the Liberty Bridge.
Photography Tips
This composition has been altered in Photoshop. In reality there is a fairly ugly skyline of car parks and industrial buildings behind the nets. The shot is composed such that the skyline is above the nets and therefore fairly easy to remove, but you should be aware that it is there, and if you don't like digitally altering compositions then this spot is probably not for you.
This shot is taken from a wooden boardwalk that runs alongside the road bridge. It is a long boardwalk and you can shoot the nets from either side.
Long exposure works well for this composition, but watch out for runners and cyclists as their movement will cause the boardwalk to vibrate a little.

Travel Information
It's about a 10 minute walk from P.le Roma ferry terminal - just use Google Maps to take you round the back of the train station and up onto the bridge. Note that you can't walk all the way across the bridge (not that you'd want to) because the boardwalk only goes about a third of the way across.
