San Gimignano itself is a UNESCO World Heritage Centre, so it´s worth a visit anyway. The spot itself is in the living area and not in the old town center. The view is directly to the east over valleys and wine yards.

Photography Tips

Best time is during spring I think when the nights are still cold, rain is still falling during the day. If it rains during the day and next day it´s a "cloudless" sunrise you probably see some fog in the valleys.

Parking is available outside of the village. It´s not too big so it´s easy to walk.
