Lago di Braies is a beautiful spot in the north of Dolomites and near to the border with Austria. The lake is beautiful with nice color and great landscape. A hiking track do the round of lake where you can do a lot of differents photo

Photography Tips

Prefer Autumn or spring season because in summer the place is full. It's difficult to do a nice photo without a lot of tourists and their flashy bags...

Be aware that the water level is changing constantly and not always this low as in one of the pictures.

Travel Information

o find this lake when you come from South, drive until Dobbiaco and turn on the left at the first crossroad. After you find direction signs for the lake. On site, you can find a restaurant, a hotel and parking (not free) close to the lake. On very early sunrise shoots, the parking can be free, because there are usually no parking guards on duty yet.
