Italy Anthropocene
Jean Baptiste Alexandre Henraux started carving these mountains in the 1821 and the Henraux S.P.A. is still gruyering them now days, but not this one, left abandoned since WW2 when the nazis, busy on killing tuscans, temporally saved these harassed peaks. From this cave comes the marble used to build the S. Isaac Cathedral of St. Petersburg, and who knows what else, today it host some good graffiti and is totally free to visit, it's abandoned for good.

Travel Information
First get in northern Tuscany, Pisa, Florence or Bologna airport, second visit Lucca rather then Pisa, because Pisa is disappointing, Lucca is surprising, that's why, then focus on the tuscan aemilian appennine range, set "Vestito Pass" on your GPS, along the absolutely panoramic drive, open your eyes for the huge man caved stone hole under the Henraux sign, that's the cave.
