Italy Rifugio Col De Varda Morning View

Rifugio Col De Varda as a hotel at the top of a ski lift and this is the view you can expect ona clear morning from the hotel.

Obviously you will have to get up early to get the golden light on this side of the peak. I used a tripod and a 24-120 lens to get this picture.

Once you get to Lake Misurina you can park your car at one of many parking lots and then you have two options to get up to this spot. First, you can take a lift up to Rifugio Col De Varda. Secondly, you can just hike from the Lake to Rifugio Citta di Carpi, this will take about 1 - 1-1/2 hours depending on how in shape you are. Personally I recommend taking the lift up, its only 9 EURO to go up and down. The only caveat is that the Lift only operates from 0900 to 1830. I would recommend booking a room at Rifugio Col De Varda and getting up in the morning, this way you are not held back by the lift times.
