Italy Assisi
Assis is generally regarded as the birthplace of St. Francis, who founded the Franciscan religious order in the town in 1208, and St. Clare (Chiara d'Offreducci), the founder of the Poor Sisters, which later became the Order of Poor Clares after her death.
It is located on the western flank of Monte Subasio.
It is a typical Middle Ages city with a lot of old buildings and a lot of churches. The main attractions are the Basilica di San Francesco d'Assisi and the Basilica di Sanata Chiara.

Photography Tips
There are no special tips to be given. Be aware that photographing is not allowed in the Basilica and the Thomb of San Francisco (I didn't care).
Travel Information
We went here in our car. There are parking facilities at the bottom of the hill with escalators to go up to the city. But be aware that you have to walk a lot through steep cobblestone streets so you should have no trouble with your legs...
