The Island of Stromboli is one of the 8 in the Aeolian Islands in the Tyrrhenian Sea. Stromboli Volcano last erupted in 2019 and has been in continuous eruption for 2000 years. The island is only 12.6 sq klms in size with the top of the volcano 924 metres.

Stromboli like all the Aeolian Islands are located north of Sicily with the best way to get there is by fast ferry from Messina taking about 1.5 hours. Best to go on Shoulder season to get accommodation
