Italy Strada Costiera
The 10-mile coastline overlooking the Gulf of Trieste along the Adriatic sea and through the rocks of Karst is a definitely unique area. 'Strada Costiera' (Costal Road) is the name of the SS14 road that runs along this coast, and it is one of the most scenic drives in Italy.
It was built in the 1920s in order to facilitate the flow of tourists visiting this amazing area. Driving along the road will be a real pleasure for your eyes. The magnificent rocky Karst Plateau on one side and the clear-blue waters of the Adriatic Sea on the other side will leave you breathless. Take your time to enjoy the views and take unforgettable pictures, stopping at one of the many lookouts along the road.
