Don't just look in the direction of the hut. Turn around, play around and switch lenses since there are a lot of great photo opportunities. The spot is perfect for both, sunset and sunrise. However, with a bit of luck sunrise might offer a cloud inversion.

Travel Information

Down at the cable car is a big parking lot. Check the opening hours of the cable car. Rifugio Lagazuoi is not the classy mountain hut you expect. It's rather considered a mountain hotel. It's advised to make a reservation rather in advance than being spontaneous.
