Italy Mountain layers before sunset from Bustac

This spot offers a grand view of layered mountains around Val Gardena.

A tripod may come handy if you shoot in low light. I shot this with a standard zoom lens at 66 mm, but you may find telephoto compositions there as well.

There are two parking lots at Passo Gardena, one at the souvenir shop and one at Rifugio Frara. Unless you come early in the morning or late in the evening, a parking fee applies.

Walk by the Chapel of San Maurizio and follow the uphill trail on the left. When you reach the ridge, you will see Dantercepies Mountain Lounge on the right. Keep left and walk up the steep hill to reach the flat top of Bustac. It's an uphill climb all the way from the parking lot, so it's advisable to come well before your desired shooting time.
