Italy View over Castelluccio, Umbria

This spot offers a stunning view of Castelluccio, a beautiful small village on top of a hill in the region of Umbria. It's located in the center of Italy between Rome and San Marino. During summer you will be able to see beautiful lentil fields.

You can use the paths around the city as leading lines toward the subject of your photo and depending on how far you walk the path, the village is positioned differently to the shape of the mountains. It can be a nice idea to use the shape of the mountains as an arrow pointing down to the village.
Which lens you need depends on the look you want to achieve. The village is quite far away from this spot so a tele lens (f.e. a 70-200) is recommended. If you don't have one, you can simply take photos from closer positions along the path or crop the image depending on the resolution of your camera.

Get there by car, leave it near the village, and enjoy the beautiful hike up to the spot with many gorgeous views down into the valley.

During the winter period, you might be able to drive to the spot because there are not many people, and a few hundred meters before there is a small lay-by that allows you to stop without getting in the way of cars. In summer it becomes more complex, especially for the bloom that lasts about three weeks there is more crowding. However, it is also a marked trail for those who decide to do walking.
