Italy View toward Saint Nikolaus (San Nicolò), South Tyrol
This place offers a beautiful view into the valley and the village of Saint Nikolaus. There are multiple beautiful foreground elements you can use for your photography like the paths leading toward the village or a wooden fence.
Photography Tips
Use a wide-angle lens. It's best not to take photos at sunset, but just before that, when the sun is still shining on the mountain because otherwise the valley becomes dark quite quickly. Alternatively, you could take a photo during golden hour for the entire scene and a separate one during sunset just for the sky and combine them later in Photoshop.
Travel Information
If you come by car, you can park at the hotel just before Saint Nikolaus, then walk 10 minutes to the photo spot. If you come by bus (245), you can get off at the Saint Nikolaus pension stop and then walk for around 10 minutes to the spot.
