This road lead to the small harbor of Vernazza, and is the main road through town. In the summer Month of July, the sun sets perfectly through the narrow area between the buildings, giving dramatic light and shadows.

Photography Tips

These were photos of opportunity. The street was crowded with people coming in and out to the harbor, and I had a few moments where there was a break. Be patient, have a neutral density filter to help with the harsh light, and be respectful of the people you photograph.

Travel Information

Best way is to take the train, either from La Spezia or Genoa, and walk down to the spot.
