Italy Historic Fiat Museum
This is the renovated and repurposed famous Fiat factory, originally built in 1923. It was the first Fiat factory to use assembly lines, but in this case, the line was vertical, with components coming in at ground level and the finished cars emerging at the top, where they would be tested on the one-kilometre-long rooftop track. The cars went down the spiral ramp to ground level. Architect Renzo Piano converted the building into a multi-use facility.
