Italy Rifugio Lagazuoi
Think 360 degree views of stunning scenery: Seas of clouds, spectacular pinnacles and eerie silence. The Alpine Choughs make for great subjects here too.
Photography Tips
Better take a telephoto (70-200) + with you and you're shooting something different and equally spectacular in every direction for a week.
Oh, and get up at the crack of dawn, because it's the best time of day.
Be prepared and stay until the light has really died, you can be awarded great when you do (see picture ;)

Travel Information
There's a cable car running up the mountain, or you can go on foot. It's one of the easiest to reach, most dramatic viewpoints I've seen in my 10 years as a professional landscape photographer.
The rifugio offers the possibility to stay overnight, certainly makes it easy to get the sunrise and sunsets easy. The cable car only runs from a certain hour and doesn't include the magic hours.
Free parking is available at the bottom of the cable car
