Jamaica Domino at the Reggae Falls
The Reggae Falls on a tributary of the Morant River are manmade, i.e. it is the dam of an abandoned hydroelectric plant. It is a popular spot for Jamaicans on weekends.
Photography Tips
The falls are accessible only by wading through a riverbed with coarse gravel. I dispensed with going there, as I was worried about my equipment, and spent some time in one of the bars. Locals were playing dominos, and I asked whether I may take pictures. I was given permission provided I do not show faces.
Travel Information
The site is not so easy to reach. There is a little parking lot at the end of the road, and locals collect money for the parking.
