Jamaica Schefflera in Kingston
Schefflera actinophylla is an evergreen tree introduced from Southeast Asia/Australia into many tropical countries as an ornamental. The tree is common in parks in Jamaica, but a particularly impressive specimen is found on the Mona Campus next to the Department of Life Sciences.
Photography Tips
In the images, I directed the camera almost vertically upright to get an unusual view of the foilage against the sky.
Travel Information
The Mona Campus is open to visitors. They have to enter through the so-called Post Office Gate. Parking is available behind Block B of the Department of Life Sciences.
