Jamaica Galina Point, Jamaica
Galina Point shows a small lighthouse. We are looking in a northerly direction. Swimming is not possible due to the rocky shore.
Photography Tips
Wide-angle images of the site are probably most promising, but one can also use a light telephoto lens while standing on the access road made from concrete. Leaving the paved area is difficult, because the shore consists of so-called honycomb limestone, and is is difficult if not dangeous to walk on such terrain. Better images may be expected during sunset, but this is Jamaica and I feel it is not wise to be on the road during the night.
Travel Information
The small lighthouse can be spotted from the main road with ample parking space. I have seen locals parking next to the lighthouse, and I did the same on my visit.
