This is an amazing overview spot of Tokio. And the best part is that it is completely free since it is a Gouvernements building (city hall).

Photography Tips

Bring a small tripod like a gorilla pod. You are not allowed to use them officially but I got away with it twice by being mindful about the other visitors and trying to take up as little space as possible. Also bring a black shirt or jacket. This way you can hold it behind your camera and mitigate the reflections on the windows you’ll otherwise inevitably have.

Travel Information

You can take a train and the walk over from Shinjuku station. The entrance is below street level and therefore not obvious to find. If you end up on front of the main entrance walk to one of the sides and take the stairs down.
