Japan Hachimanyama (west)
This spot, the western viewing platform on top of Hachimanyama, offers a good view of Biwa-ko and the plains. There's also an eastern viewing platform offering a good view in the direction of Azuchi.
Photography Tips
No special requirements for this spot. Best time of the day is probably afternoon to the end of the blue hour. Depending on the time of the year you may have a sunset behind Hiei-zan.
The viewing platform can be quite populated, but very few people will fly into your panorama if you stand at the rail.
