Japan Horyuji Temple

This Japanese temple is located east of Osaka Japan. According to UNESCO, the kondo is the worlds oldest wooden building. The 5 story pagoda is almost as old. The adjacent treasury building houses the famous Kudara kannon, a wooden sculpture over 2 meters tall and about 1500 years old in perfect preservation.
