Japan Mount Fuji from Lake Saiko
Lake Saiko, one of the Fuji Five Lakes, is a quieter spot for viewing Mount Fuji. It’s surrounded by forests and offers a clear view of the mountain, making it an ideal place for photography and a peaceful retreat. The lake is easy to access and provides plenty of areas to explore, including walking paths and scenic spots along the shoreline.
Photography Tips
Use a wide-angle lens to capture both the lake and the mountain, or a zoom lens for close-up shots of Fuji’s snow-covered peak. If you are brave, you can step in the lake, but it's super cold during spring.
Travel Information
Parking is available around the lake, with several free and paid lots nearby. Spaces can fill up during peak travel times, so arriving early is recommended. The lake is also reachable by bus from Kawaguchiko Station, which connects to the Fuji Five Lakes region.
